ORGANIC COTTON //

Grown from non-genetically modified (non-GMO) seeds, organic cotton is cultivated using natural fertilisers such as compost and manure, instead of synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilisers. Soil fertility and pest control are maintained through crop rotation and biological methods.
This approach significantly reduces chemical impact on local ecosystems, wildlife, and farming communities. For the wearer, the absence of synthetic chemical residues also minimises the risk of skin irritation.
TENCEL™ LYOCELL //

Tencel™ is a premium, semi-synthetic protein-free fibre produced by the Austrian company Lenzing from responsibly sourced wood pulp.
Derived from sustainably managed forests (primarily Eucalyptus), Tencel™ is manufactured using a highly advanced closed-loop solvent spinning process. Over 99% of the water and non-toxic organic solvents used in production are continuously recovered and reused, significantly minimising chemical discharge. The fibre is certified as fully biodegradable and compostable under both industrial and natural conditions.
Renowned for its sleek, fluid drape and subtle natural lustre, Tencel™ also offers excellent moisture management and breathability — outperforming conventional cotton. Its smooth surface feels exceptionally soft and gentle against the skin, making it ideal for sensitive skin.
Crafted from the seeds of South American palm trees, Corozo is a 100% natural and biodegradable material commonly used for premium garment hardware. Known for its exceptional structural strength and scratch resistance, it has a porous composition that allows for uniform dye absorption. Each button features a unique natural grain pattern like an individual fingerprint.
MOTHER OF PEARL //
A 100% natural and biodegradable hardware alternative crafted from the inner lining of mollusk shells, commonly known as nacre or Mother of Pearl.
Derived from a renewable marine byproduct, authentic shell buttons have a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to standard plastic (polyester) buttons. As a natural organic compound (CaCO₃), they decompose safely back into the ecosystem at the end of their lifecycle without releasing harmful microplastics.
Celebrated for their structural density and elegant iridescent luster that shifts beautifully under different lighting conditions, each button retains its unique organic irregularities. This means no two pieces are exactly alike in surface depth or light-reflective patterns.
MERCERIZED COTTON //
Our hand embroidery details are executed using 100% long-staple cotton threads manufactured in France. The threads undergo a double mercerization process that enhances tensile strength, smoothness, and surface luster.
WASHABLE KRAFT PAPER //

Made from natural wood pulp sourced from responsibly managed forests, our washable Kraft paper is designed for easy care. It can withstand repeated domestic laundry cycles without tearing, shrinking, or losing structural integrity. Over time, washing enhances its tactile quality, developing a soft, vintage crinkled texture reminiscent of worn leather.
[ Ongoing Research /
Silk is a high-performance protein fibre spun by silkworms (Bombyx mori). It is a naturally renewable and fully biodegradable textile. Compared to synthetic petroleum-based polymers, silk production generally requires significantly less water, fewer chemicals, and less energy-intensive processing.
The silk materials currently used in our collections are not certified cruelty-free. We acknowledge this industry-wide challenge with full transparency and are actively researching alternative ethical silk options, such as Ahimsa (Peace Silk).
Our ongoing exploration of natural materials is inspired by groundbreaking speculative design projects, particularly the Silk Pavilion by Neri Oxman and the MIT Media Lab. By guiding silkworms to spin silk in controlled environments, the project demonstrated a revolutionary bio-fabrication method — combining biology, digital fabrication, and material science to create structures without boiling cocoons. Although this innovation is still exploratory and not yet scalable for mass textile production, it offers a powerful vision for a future where fashion can exist in genuine symbiosis with nature.
Our material archive is an evolving logbook. As technology advances and more responsible supply chains become accessible, we will continue to update this page with full transparency, charting our progress from source to garment.
